72 Tenants of Prosperity

I just watched 72 Tenants of Prosperity in TGV on Saturday. The show is like a typical comedy but I love it because there’s so many TVB stars in there. It’s like who you can spot before they disappear. Because the screen is so big, I have to glance fast across the cineplex screen in order not to miss out any of the artistes.

Actually, I think the artistes in this movie should be divided to 4 different types. Some are the main artistes, some have more than 1 screen time, some although came out once only but has long dialogue and let us remember that they are in that movie and the last one is the one you have to see them fast before they disappear from the screen.

Of course the main stars in this show are Eric Tsang, Jacky Cheung, Anita Yuen, Linda Chung, Stephy Tang, Wong Cho Lam and Bosco Wong as the TV has been showing them daily in advertisement for this show in Astro.

There are also those who are kind of like supporting ones as they get to come out a few times in the movie such as Raymond Lam (younger version of Jacky), Justin (younger version of Eric), Fala Chen (younger version of Anita), Michael Tse who is Laughing Gor again in this show, Bernice Liu, Prudence Liew, Wayne Lai, Evergreen Mak, FAMA and Ron Ng. Raymond and Justin’s hairstyle is as per the 70’s style but everytime he appeared on the screen, I could not stand to look at his hairstyle. For Bernice, she wore a fake teeth and she looks fatter in there.. when I saw her on tv advertisement before I went to watch this show, I was thinking this girl looks familiar but did not think of her. But when I realized it is her, oh my, she looks so different from the usual her and she’s so rough in there. Prudence and Ron also has ‘uglified’ their own appearance too but at least I can still recognize it’s them.

The 3rd types are the ones who has long dialogue and made a lasting impression on me such as Nat Chan, Dicky Cheung, Charmaine Sheh, Jamie Chik, Koni Lui, Angela Tong, Wu Fong and Nancy Sit.

The last ones are those ‘if you blink your eyes, you will miss them’ such as Timmy Hung, Denise Ho, Andy Hui, Kevin Cheng, Kenneth Ma, Lawrence Ng, Myolie Wu, Joyce Cheng, Sunny Chan, Aimee Chan, Maggie Shiu, etc..

However, I also felt a bit disappointed that a few other TVB artistes did not appear in this movie such as Tavia Yeung, Bowie Lam, Moses Chan, Miu Kiu Wai, etc.
Anyway, this movie is a ‘feel good’ movie for CNY that should not be missed by those who love TVB dramas.
