Power of World Cup

With the current World Cup ongoing, many people is going gaga over the souvenirs and World Cup merchandise.

I just got 2 footballer cards from Carrefour for keep. But I did not get excited over the cards because i dont even know who are the 2 players on my cards. One is from France- Thierry Henry and another from Ghana- Richard Kingson. My football knowledge is really close to zero. I only know that David Beckham is from England and Maradona was a great player once. Another thing is that South Korea played well this time.

Then, there's another World Cup merchandise by McDonald which is a cup. It has different colours weekly and you have to buy a special burger set (which consists of large fries, sundae, large drink and a burger). I thought the cup is nothing special but i know of my grown up colleagues who purposely go weekly to McD to collect the cups. And when we were planning to have a farewell lunch for a colleague at a restaurant, the guys actually gave some reason such as they miss McD food so that we can have the lunch there and they have the chance to collect the cup.. haha..talk about the power of World Cup

Anyway, i also got one of the cup as a souvenir for the held once every 4 years World Cup. =)And although the cup looks kind of nice but no, i dont think i will go weekly for the sake of getting the full set of the cups.
