Currently, Astro is showing ‘When Easterly Showers Fall On The Sunny West’ (東山飄雨西關晴) at 8pm starring Charmaine Sheh and Joe Ma Tak Chung. The story is based during Shanghai 1930s time and about family and love. I don’t really watch this show as I do not enjoy watching dramas with Ma Tak Chung in it. (Sorry to Joe’s fans) So,I cant really comment much about this show.
At 9.30pm, ‘The gem of life” is aired and I think it’s already more than 20 episodes but Bosco Wong Chung Chak has not appear yet.. but this show has 80 episodes so there’s still a lot of time. Anyway, this story has many experienced stars (they are not young anymore but not that old either, so I do not know how to call them) such as Bowie Lam, Maggie Shiu, Ada Choi Siu Fun, Wong Hei, Lai Chi, etc..
I’m very amazed at Choi Siu Fun’s acting especially when she’s angry and scolding another person. She can just continue to scold the person and all the words will come out from her mouth without pausing. I wonder how long did she take to memorize the script.

ReplyDeleteI watched "The Gem of Life" before, my friend downloaded one, total 83 episodes. At first it was really very nice and I couldn't stop at all. But after 30 episodes like that, it becomes not nice liao... :( Anyway I still watched until the last episode, but proved to be a BIG disappointment lo! This is just my thinking, you can continue to watch and tell us your opinion towards this drama later :)
